I have always had a hard time opening up to someone as I fear being judged. But Diya made me so comfortable that we started talking like friends and she become my confidant. For me, I was just sharing incidences of my life but Diya, a true professional was noting the ups and downs and my behaviour.

She ensures that I feel confident in sharing my life details with her without a fear of anything being leaked or me being judged. All this while I had built a wall around me and was always happy for the world. I didn’t realise that it has become a part of me until Diya broke that wall to discover the zillion emotions inside.

I have had my share of battles that I fought, left, ignored, won but it’s Diya who made me realise I’ve come a long way. I lost all my confidence, started having trust issues but with time she has helped me come out of it and taught me to prioritise myself over others.

My sessions with Diya started in November 2020 when I hit a personal low in terms of mental well-being. She has been exceptional in helping me tackle a wide range of issues - lack of confidence and motivation stemming from a divorce, anxiety caused by peer group, destabilization at work, and grief counseling to manage the overwhelming emotions caused by the death of a parent and a pet. Diya is extraordinarily intuitive about guiding me through all these setbacks and has been instrumental in making me believe that I will overcome anything that life throws at me.She's a confidant, someone I trust deeply with matters that I hide from the rest of the world. It's a testament to her skills as a psychotherapist to be able to put me at ease without the veil of judgement which would otherwise stop me from voicing these out loud. Diya is empathetic, and works without rushing me, allowing sufficient time for me to process our sessions and put into effect the actionables we discuss. Within the boundaries of this professional relationship, she has also became a dear friend for I look forward to Therapy Thursdays knowing that she's got my back. I have been working with Diya for quite some time now. Her approach is quite different from my previous therapists. She has always listened to what I had to say and shared her unbiased point of view. My sessions never felt like a one-sided conversation with her. I have never felt like I went to her with a problem so that she can give me her opinion about it. Rather, with her, it always felt like we were both working towards me discovering myself. Each session I had with her, taught me so much about myself. I have always felt like she is genuinely invested in my health and problems.

Whenever she feels like I am going through a really tough time during a session, she checks up on me in between sessions too even though we meet every week. This testimony is long overdue. I reached out to Diya when I was experiencing a lot of personal stress in my life. This was during covid wave 1 in 2020. Diya and I continued for almost 8 months averaging a session every week for this duration.

In this journey, what stood out about Diya was:

A) How approachable she is. She has a very positive, enthusiastic and friendly presence. This helped me get very comfortable very early to be able to confide in her, share openly with her and that helped immensely.

B) How she is very quick to grasp onto the smaller nuances in our conversations and ask very pertinent follow-up questions to dive deep. This helped us go deep on multiple issues and generate insights that could easily have slipped out of conversation.

C) How she is direct in the best professional way. She always called a spade a spade, and was very honest/candid with her views and assessment. There was no beating around the bush or sugarcoating facts, all this while staying true to the conversational style of discussion and while remaining infinitely patient through my monologues.

I reached our to Dr. Annie about depression and I was shocked by how good the experience was. She heard everything I had to say about my problem. In fact her ability to hear me out convinced me to visit psychologists about my problem as well. I was hesitant to start out with medication and Dr. Annie was extremely empathetic towards this. After a couple if sessions is when we started medication. She explained all the pros and cons of starting medication in a way that was easy to understand. Our sessions over about a year were extremely helpful She analysed not only my causes of concern but also my lifestyle and diet that would have an impact on my well-being. Dr. Annie manages to be extremely warm and concerned while also being extremely professional. Further, while talking to my friends and family, I have come to realise how rare it is to find a person in this field who is this good. She sticks by the "no medicine is the best medicine" saying. I recommend visiting her 100%.

I started my sessions with Diya in June 2021. She established a safe space to open up from the get go. She is friendly and approachable and calls spade. I'm a regular client of Deepa for almost 2 years now. She has helped me in multiple areas ranging from behavioural patterns, to dealing with trauma from the past, to fixing my approach towards difficult situations in work and personal life, to being more self aware and being kind to myself. Dr Deepa is very careful and patient listener. She is very understanding and understands the sensitivity and plight of patient, she poses relevant questions and has a very mature approach to counselling. She is very good and is Highly recommended counselling doctor.

Diya is an exceptional therapist. She is very professional and welcoming and provides the best possible solution/ course of action for different problems one may face. I consulted Diya since a previous person I consulted with didn't give me the advice I needed.
